So my investigation of Newschoolers.com is pretty much wrapped up, much like the winter season here. I've gone over every nook and cranny of the site, learned a lot about the sport of skiing, built a friend base, and even expanded my horizons in other areas of extreme sports. One thing that I hadn't looked into yet, was the footer of the page. It's small print, and not crucial to the site, so I blew it off, but it's actually very useful.
There are a bunch of links to other special interest websites and magazine websites for other extreme sports. These include, more skiing sites, snowboarding, surfing, biking, canoe and kayaking, motocross, skating and more. I'm not going to explain all these sites, because many of them are just as elaborate as Newschoolers, but check them out if you're interested! They provided useful information to me in my search for new and exciting sports.
I'm not going to do a big summary of Newschoolers, nor will I explain the many ways it ties into the themes of this course (I'm saving that for the paper..) But overall, my investigation of Newschoolers.com has been fun. It's not too often you can say that about projects in classes. I've built a strong tie with the site and plan to keep using it for quite some time.
