Blog 6: Hulu vs YouTube

Right away when I read that this was the assignment, I kind of thought it was going to be two very different websites. I've been to both of them many times in the past, and they used to be incredibly different. Hulu would give you full episodes of TV shows and movies and just give you advertisements, while YouTube would rarely give you full episodes, but also rarely showed ads. Now it appears that some of these things have remained the same, but YouTube has also began airing ads before it's clips. Another difference that I've noticed between the two is that most of the time, YouTube gives you many more options, while Hulu has a very limited selection of full episodes and clips. Although I did notice that Hulu has been given many more options as opposed to when they started, it's still not as many as YouTube. These were the biggest things that I noticed.
