Hulu vs. Youtube

I've never thought of these two sites in the same category. For me, Youtube functions as a place to watch small clips of parodies, funny moments, or music videos recently released. When I do choose songs put up by fans of the music group there is always a disclaimer that they are not affiliated with the band. If any one of the posters infringes on copyright the post is taken down by Youtube.

As for Hulu I use the sight to catch up on episodes I've missed. When I first started watching episodes to catch up I would go straight to the networks website so that I could dabble in webisodes or games they offered. For some reason though I always get kicked off of FOX's website when trying to view an episode. So, out of necessity I went to Hulu. Thankfully, the quality is great and you can choose to separate your commercials throughout the episode or just watch a longer one before the program begins. Hulu is a joint venture between networks and therefore has no worry about plagiarism or appropriation. It's a bit off topic but Hulu's idea to begin charging like a Netflix, could drive people to other sites, one of them being Youtube. This would affect strictness of copyright even more.
