Practicum #3- Zach

This morning I played the minigame Zombies on Call of Duty. The premise of the game is to kill a neverending hoard of zombies with teammates. You cannot really win as far as I know, only go as far as you can, kill as many waves as possible before everyone on your team dies.
I played a bunch of rounds, games ranging from kids who knew what they were doing to playing with younger kids who did not care and just wanted to mess around seemingly. The highest wave I got to was 15. As you get to higher levels you play more intense enemies like little crawly creatures and dogs rather than just zombies. The map also opens up more as you surpass more waves and gain access to different rooms and weapons.
This game definitely has more of a team/coordinating aspect than a lot of the previous more chaotic shootout games I have played. People who play this game probably know that rather than killing actual other gamers they are playing against a computer and therefore want to coordinate with other people. Nevertheless there are people who go into the game just to mess around and dont care about strategy.

  1. I've heard the Zombie mode is a big selling point for some people. I thought the one for this game was pretty interesting, since you play as JFK, Nixon, Robert McNamara and Castro, right?
