Practicum 6 - Robb
When I started out with these two websites (WEAC.com and SupportWalker.com), one of my biggest concerns was that I wouldn't be able to keep a level head and remain neutral throughout the process. I obviously have my own opinions and beliefs on the topic and given the fact that I have a family of teachers at home and a household of conservatives at school, it's been increasingly difficult to do so. That is my struggle as I continue to break down these groups of political activists. Again, one of the biggest things that I've been noticing with the WEAC website is that it continues to become more and more of a political activist site and less of a teacher's union site. The vast majority of material within the website has evolved to include thoughts and opinions about the present state of Wisconsin's economy. Much the same has been going on with SupportWalker.com. This site is more of an obvious form of political activism as it revolves entirely around the campaign and support of a political candidate, but they have become more of a mud-slinging site than they were before.
