Blog #3- iDosing

I remember reading a story about iDosing (I'm pretty sure thats the actual term, even though the syllabus says eDosing) a little while ago and remember thinking its pretty stupid. Kids will try to get "high" on anything I guess. So I googled idosing and this video was the first to come up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDjOnQddaB4. It didnt really do anything for me. I guess you are supposed to use headphones, which I didnt do, and I have to admit I was kind of distracted and skeptical. Apparently some people freak out from this though, which I find weird--one of the videoposter's comments was "Advice: dont watch it alone." I did. Anyway I got bored midway through the video and decided that afterwards I would check out another one. I watched this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PdyKdUC8Sw&feature=related. I've seen videos like this before. It's kind of just an optical illusion. You stare at this moving design for a couple of minutes and it messes with your eyes. When you look away everything looks like that moving pattern, like everything is breathing. I am not totally sure if this is the same thing as idosing, but it had more effect on me than the first video did. The effect only lasts for a couple of seconds to a minute. Overall I think idosing is pretty stupid, but there are also kids out there who let feces sit out for a while and then huff it to get high, so I guess this is better than that alternative....
