Practicum #2- Zach

Played more Call of Duty, about 2 hours
Levels played: wmd, nuke town (my favorite), grid, hanoi, jungle, havana
Some people who killed me more than once that caught my attention: BKN DreDay, guessing he's from Brooklyn; Sil3nt Geek, sweet name dude;
In the first match I played (team deathmatch) some kids were trying to coordinate stuff I think but it was too hard to understand them. I'm guessing they knew each other cuz it seemed like only two kids and they sounded younger (they had kinda high voices). One match I heard a guy speaking spanish.
I know I'm supposed to describe my and others' avatars, but the game generates them depending on what level you play, so they are always different--their clothes usually suit the level (if you are playing a snow level you wear white gear). One thing of note I guess is that you are always a male. Also my xbox froze twice from overheating, which sucked and was very annoying.
My presentation is tomorrow, so here are some questions: Do you feel like there really is a communal aspect to networked online games on xbox? Do you think a community aspect contributes to the popularity of online games?
