Practicum - John #1

Being college students, I will assume all of you have used Wikipedia. And, in your boredom, you've probably looked at the Wikipedia page for your favorite TV show/Film series/Book series. You've probably glanced at the page and found that while thorough, it did not have everything about the show written down. That's where Wikia comes in. These are basically small Wikipedias devoted entirely to one subject. There are wikias for tv shows, there are wikias for video games; there a wikia devoted entirely to emoticons. (Today's featured: The Super Smiley with a Silly mustache, or :{D )

For this assignment, I will be joining and participating in the wikis for three different forms of media. I joined the wikia for the show How I Met Your Mother, one of my personal favorite TV shows, the wikia for DC Comics (Superman and Batman, not Spider-man and Iron Man), and the wikia for the Fallout series of video games, a site known as the Vault (makes more sense if you've played the game). I signed up using my default gamertag/message board handle/whatever, HannShotFirst. I began with helping to edit the page for the most recent episode of How I Met Your Mother, which aired yesterday, Monday the 14th. Stay tuned.
