practicum- Kayla #1

I will be presenting tomorrow during discussion and have some questions for everyone to consider. How many of you have commented in a community discussion board before? What are common conceptions of those who do? What kind of forum would you choose? What benefits are there to becoming a participant in a community discussion board?

I've been sifting through a GLEE discussion board and commenting on topics that interest me for the past couple weeks. While I love the topics about the episodes and cast, etc., there sometimes seems to be monologues posted rather than an interactive dialogue or multilogue. I hope to spark some conversation with my posts. The discussion board talks about real issues as well which I think can be accredited to Glee's approach on hard topics such as homosexuality and disability. So far I am not disappointed because overall I get to discuss a hilarious show with people that crave Sue's one-liners as much as I do.
